Well dressing, also known as well flowering, is a tradition practised in some parts of rural England in which wells, springs and other treasured waters are decorated with designs created from flower petals. H I S T O R Y
Our Derbyshire Felts are made of the finest, softest British Wool sourced locally and hand felted at our workshop in Derbyshire. Before there were loofahs and flannels, people used a bar of fine vegetable or animal fat soap sewn into a woollen covering that was then hand felted. Wool has very gentle exfoliating and antibacterial qualities, and the soap creates a particularly luxurious lather. We've sourced the finest British Wool from breeds grazed in Derbyshire to re-create this forgotten historical delicacy.
