HANDMADE SOAP
Soap is such an intimate part of our health routine that it is sometimes easy to forget how it can affect our health. Most soaps and cosmetics contain preservatives and other chemicals, none of which are harmful in the short term, but in the long term tend to dry skin out. Peak Soap use only natural, moisturising ingredients grown responsibly in partnership with our environment. We blend using traditional victorian soap making techniques.
Our soaps are blended using a mixture of organic fine oils. We do not use palm oil in our products because current farming methods are detrimental to some species of endangered animal. Instead, we have opted to use fine British rapeseed oil. Our olive and coconut soaps are vegan and vegetarian, gentle and are suitable for sensitive skins, greasy to dry skin types and everything in between.
Peak Soap was founded on a simple truth. People don’t want to cover their bodies in imported, synthetic and potentially dangerous chemicals. A chemical that has been extracted using an industrial process that damages the earth and its plants, animals and landscapes. A chemical that has been churned up in a chemical vat and squirted into a plastic packet or tube.
People would prefer to nourish themselves, their minds and physical bodies with natural substances. Substances that don’t kill ecosystems and don’t contain harmful ingredients. So why do we? Well the answer is most likely because supermarkets, big pharma and marketeers have sold us that it won’t do any harm. But as we are discovering. This is not true.

"We do not use any animal derived products in our soaps (except where stated) and no animals are ever involved in testing our products. Our soaps are therefore suitable for vegetarians and vegans. Since humans are the end recipient all our soaps are tested on humans. Many of our botanicals are home grown in our gardens and our colours are all ethically sourced cosmetic micas and organics. Our colorants are non toxic to marine life and do not accumulate in marine environments."
