The medieval city of Canterbury was once a pilgimage sight and still has lots of historical sights to see. Visit Toddlers Cove, be amazed by Canterbury Roman Museum, enjoy The Marlow Theatre, take the kids to Druidstone Park, visit Canterbury Punting Club and have a punt on the river, pop into Canterbury Cathadral, stroll Westgate Gardens and peruse St Augustine's Abbey. Scarce free parking for cars anywhere, be prepared to pay. Lots of places to eat as you would expect. Situated in the heart of Kent, Canterbury is not as attractive to families with kids as many tourist locations mainly because it is a historical city. BUGGIES: Problematic pavements.
