Vitamin C from citrus fruit is very effective in dealing with dandruff.  Many cases of dandruff are caused by Malassezia, a fungus that feeds on the oils on the scalp and hair. Malassezia generally causes minimal issues unless present in excess. While washing your hair try adding a small spoon of fresh lime and honey to your final rinse. This not only combats oily build-ups and helps prevent dandruff, but also make your hair naturally shiny.

3. Lime For Skin Sensitivity

Regular use of synthetic detergents like washing up liquid and shampoo can also result in flaking. Irritants in synthetic products can trigger allergic reactions and inflammation on the scalp resulting in the condition contact dermatitis. This can leave a red, itchy, and scaly rash. After washing hair try adding a small spoon of fresh lime to the final rinse. This not only combats oily buildups and helps prevent dandruff, but also leaves hair glowing.

4. Lime For Wrinkles

Is lime good for wrinkles? Vitamin C does more than fight the common cold. It also helps the body produce skin collagen. A protein that keeps your skin, hair and nails strong. You need sufficient collagen to build elasticity and help smooth out wrinkles. Citrus fruits also have large amounts of other vitamins and minerals including B vitamins, potassium, phosphorous, magnesium and copper. Using a touch of lime essential oil in your regular face moisturiser is a great way to get the benefits of lime in a natural way.

5. Lime For Clear Skin

Is lime good for clear skin? Lime juice contains citric acid, which is used in skin care products to promote skin peeling and regrowth. After washing your face with a mild cleanser, squeeze a bit of lime juice into a dish. Dip a cotton pad in the fresh lime and apply a tiny amount of lime directly on the spot. Allow the juice to remain wet for 5 minutes, then rinse off all the lime. You can also add a touch of local honey. Honey has antibacterial properties. Wipe away slowly afterward with a warm soft flannel or cotton swab.
